Answer quickly please! I desperately need my son to sleep!

vasoline on the top of the crib.

if he can’t hold on, he can’t get out.

If he can climb out its time to put him in a toddler bed before he hurts himself.

It takes some will power to keep him in there, but once you get a good routine going he’ll get use to it and you’ll both be getting a good safe nights sleep.

Maybe its time for him to go into a toddler bed! When they can climb outta there crib the say thats when they need a toddler bed! If nothing else till u can afford one just put his crib mattress on the floor in his room for now! it is alot safer than him falling outta the crib! Good luck!

I had this problem with my son. The only thing that worked was buying him a twin bed, and I kept putting him back to bed (without saying a word) when he got out. Even kicking and screaming. Eventually he caved and slept – probably out of sheer exhaustion. It took a few days but he figured it out and stays in bed now.

Unfortunately, when he starts to climb out of his crib, it’s time for the transition to a toddler bed. You don’t want him to injure himself with a fall.
Toddler bed or crib, you just have to keep putting him back to bed. It’s very tiring and you will want to give up. But if you stick with it, he’ll learn to stay in bed. The key is not to give him any attention, good or bad, when he’s out. Just pick him up and put him back and say, “it’s time to go to sleep.”

Good luck.

you can get a sleeping bag. they are really good and i think that’s the only thing that’s kept my son from trying to get out of his cot. they can be quite expensive, especially the brand Grobag but there are other brands out there. make sure the bag has a zip down the front and does not button up by the shoulders as an older baby will just wiggle his way out of it.
here are a few from target

sleeping bags seem to be called sacks in the us, but they’re the same thing. it will be really difficult for your toddler to climb or walk with this. and it will also stop him from kicking his blanket off at night time so he’ll be nice and warm all night and might even sleep better and longer!

Toddler Bed time :0) he will sleep when he is over the excitement of being able to ” Escape the cage ” lol.. It takes a few nights with a toddler bed but with a crib not only will he keep doing it for fun but he might really hurt himself one time.

You can find cheap toddler beds on Craigslist.org, any pedi will tell you it is time promise.

Good luck! I switched beds before it happened thank goodness we had wood floors!
